A Hudson church group had a few issues getting home from Haiti after riots broke out two days before they were scheduled to leave. A group from Cornerstone Covenant Church went to Haiti for a dental clinic and treated about 500 people. According to the Lenoir News Topic when they tried to leave Sunday afternoon they learned their flight was cancelled and returned to their rental home. They were then told by the US embassy to stay inside and to call if there were any injuries. The group was able to get home Monday night.
