A second person has been charged in the shooting of a Caldwell County Deputy last week. According to the News Topic James Edgar Roberts of Lenoir is accused of providing a get-away vehicle to Kerry Edwin Townsend. Investigator believe Roberts drove Townsend around knowing he had been involved in a shooting. Roberts Bond has been set at $1 million.
