A Conover man accused of shooting a woman and her son inside their Catawba County home faced a judge yesterday. WSOCTV reports deputies responded to a 911 call Monday night and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Anthony Killian died Tuesday night and his mother is currently in the hospital with critical injuries. Police arrested Scott Anthony Putman at his home and confirmed there have been problems between the families before. Putnam has been charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
