Caldwell County’s unemployment rate rose last month, but it’s still lower than one year ago. The News Topic reports Caldwell like 96 other counties across the state saw a .6 percent raise in unemployment. According to Deborah Murray, the executive director of Caldwell Economic Development Commission, the county is still tied for 34th lowest unemployment rate in the state.
