A Former Burke County officer is being indicted for embezzlement. Former Lt. Jody Wayne Price is accused of embezzling over $16,000. The News Herald reports Price was assigned to the Burke County Sheriff’s Offices’ Narcotics Task Force when they received information that he had improperly used drug funds. Price is expected to appear in court on Oct. 22.
