A Caldwell County Business Still in Ruins After Hurricane Florence

A Caldwell County business is still in ruins after Hurricane Florence. The cinder block walls below the Black Bear General Store caved in during the storm leaving a hole under the building. The Building still sits unused, due to the business’s insurance company refusing to pay for the damages claiming they aren’t covered in the policy due to being caused by “earth movement.” The News-Topic reports the cost to make the building foundation slid again is $100,000.
