Boomer Man Accused of Jeep Fire

A Boomer man is accused of setting a stolen Jeep on fire in Lenoir while investigators were searching his home. Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating Jonathan Mays and his connection to two break-ins at Asplundh tree service. As they were searching MAy’s home they heard reports of a Jeep on fire on Bush Place in Lenoir. The News Topic report the Jeep had been stolen from Wheelin Dealin Auto on Nov. 23.
