An East Burke High School student was killed in a car crash yesterday. Myles Davis ran off the road, overcorrected and hit a power pole on U.S. 70 near Hickory. The News HErald reports the accident took place around 12:30 a.m. Davis’s car was the only vehicle involved in the accident and there were no other passengers.
