Sinkhole at Valley Hills Mall repaired

A sinkhole that formed at a parking lot at Valley Hills Mall has been repaired. The hole formed in a parking lot on the side of the mall facing Catawba Valley Boulevard. Hickory Daily Record reports the parking lot was open Monday afternoon and with the exception of a tractor in a nearby grassy area, all equipment was removed from the site.
