A pregnant woman was transported to a hospital to get checked out after she hydroplaned Monday afternoon on Interstate 40. Morganton News-Herald reports Haili Cook Williams of Hickory, was headed east on I-40 near Exit 116 when she hydroplaned and her vehicle landed on top of a guardrail at around 3:45 p.m. according to Highway Patrol. The driver’s front door was ripped off her vehicle and landed near the guardrail.
