A warrant has been issued for a Vale man in connection with the murder of his wife on Tuesday. Joseph Barker is considered armed and dangerous. Hickory Daily Record reports police were searching for a car that was later found abandoned 100 miles from Hickory. Police are now looking for a red Chevrolet pickup that was sighted near Brevard.
Update: The manhunt for a Joesph Barker ended Wednesday afternoon when police found him in Transylvania County.
