Car Crashes into Morganton Home

A man was charged with driving while impaired after his car flipped, went airborne and landed inside a house. According to the News Herald, Greg Allen Rogers was driving in a curve near the 1600 block of Conley Road when he lost control of his car, over corrected, went off the road, hit a utility pole and rolled his car, according to Highway Patrol. The car then went airborne before it crashed into a house. Rogers, who admitted to drinking a 12-pack of beer before driving, was driving his mother, said Trooper B. Clark. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one was in the house at the time.
