Westbound traffic is shifting on I-40 in Valdese. A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation began shifting westbound traffic on Interstate 40 at exit 112 in Valdese starting at 8 p.m. on Friday. The News Herald reports westbound on- and off-ramps will remain closed until Wednesday morning.
