More than 50 officers from area agencies participated in raids at four illegal gaming locations in Burke County. The News Herald reports there were two locations in Valdese and two in Morganton that were raided and shut down. Officers conducted undercover operations and determined the locations were paying cash prizes – which is illegal in the state.
