Caldwell UNC Health Care together with community leaders, local government officials, donors and employees celebrated the completion of the McCreary Surgery Center, the Janet H Wilson Diagnostic Imaging Center and the Broyhill Family Foundation Lobby & Main Entrance with a Ribbon Cutting, Open House and Dedication by Dr. David Smith.
Remarks were shared from City of Lenoir Mayor Joe Gibbons, Hospital Board Chair, and Caldwell Memorial Foundation Chair. Laura Easton, President and Chief Executive Officer spoke about what this facility means to not only Caldwell but also surrounding counties. She spoke of the generous spirit of the people of this community making this transformation possible and how that generosity inspires her daily.
Funds were raised for these projects by the Caldwell Hospital Foundation. The Foundation will be holding it’s annual Gala Fundraiser Saturday, September 21 at the Cedar Rock Country Club. This year’s event will raise funds for our new Jonas Hill Hospital & Clinic, a behavioral health pavilion for our community. The theme will be The Enchanted Forest and will feature hors d’oeuvres, dinner, entertainment, a premier silent auction and dancing to the great party band, Flashback.
