A pedestrian was hit and killed early Friday morning in Catawba County near Sherrills Ford. The woman was hit by the car on Slanting Bridge Road just before 7am this morning. The driver of the car did stay at the scene. The NC Highway Patrol is investigating. No names have been released yet.
