A Claremont man who called 911 to report trespassers on his property and said he would kill them, was himself taken into custody after gaining entry to an off duty officers police car and using the police radio. Aleksandr Shishkov had left the property before officers arrived. A short time later he was heard transmitting over a police frequency. The car was at the nearby home of an off duty Catawba police officer. Shiskov was armed with a machete but was taken into custody with no one being harmed. He was taken to a local hospital to undergo an evaluation.
