Police in Catawba County are on the hunt for an armed man who walked into a convenience store Sunday night and demanded money. The suspect was wearing a skeletal mask when he entered the store corner of Oxford School Road and River Bend Road. He was able to escape with money but not before a customer gave chase. in addition to the skeletal mask, the suspect was wearing a tan hoodie style sweatshirt, camouflage pants and tennis shoes..
