One person was killed in a Catawba County car accident Wednesday afternoon after the car landed upside down in Jacob’s Fork River. 62 year old Virginia Faye Rose of Hickory died in that crash. According to the NC Hwy Patrol, Rose was driving on Greedy Highway when she lost control of the car, struck a bridge guardrail, overturned and landed in the river.
