Homeless man burned trying to keep warm

A Morganton man who was just trying to keep warm suffered burns Monday morning  after a fire underneath a bridge on West Union Street.  The man, who was listed as homeless, apparently had knocked over a kerosene heater in his sleep and suffered burns to his arm, hand, and side of his face.  Morganton department of public safety firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.  The mans white pit bull ran from the scene and had not been found as of Monday afternoon.
