Officials warn of coronavirus scams

The NC Attorney General is warning residents of scams circulating pertaining to the corona virus.  Attorney General Josh Stein says now is the time criminals are on the lookout to take advantage of people.  He says anyone claiming to sell a product that will cure the virus is definitely a scam.  Also, be on the lookout for fake charities or fundraisers claiming to help raise money for affected families of the coronavirus. The state also has a special hotline set up where you can call 866-462-3821 for more information on the coronavirus.  Currently there is only one confirmed case of the virus in Wake County, NC
