A participant in a motocross event in Burke County over the weekend died after attempting to make a jump on the course. The 27 year old mans name has not been released but the accident happened Sunday at the Lost Valley Motorsports park in Connelly Springs. According to a police report, the man was attempting a jump when he went about twenty feet in the air and landed on his front tire and went over the handlebar. A witness said that the victim didn’t move again and first responders that were on the scene responded within seconds and started CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
