Two inmates who escaped last week from the Catawba Correctional Center were captured Monday at a Hickory hotel Authorities took 28-year-old Nhia Vue and 35-year-old Juan McDonald into custody after they were discovered to be in a hotel room at the Baymont by Wyndham on 13th Avenue Drive S.E. in Hickory. Both will face escape charges.
