Health officials with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services are urging North Carolina residents to protect themselves, their families and those around them by getting vaccinated against the flu amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends vaccination against the flu for everyone 6 months and older.  Vaccination against the flu can make illness milder and reduce the risk of more serious outcomes, especially those at higher risk of complications, such as the elderly and young children.
