Area counties have reported an increase in Covid 19 cases, as the hope of a vaccine increases with news from the pharmaceutical companies. There are currently 52 people in the hospital in Catawba County with the virus. Burke County has 11 Covid patients, while Caldwell County has 22 hospitalizations.
