A Lenoir man was arrested in Morganton after a shooting. Mykel Lee Bennett 21, faces assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury charges. The victim’s name was not released, he was treated after being shot in the leg twice with a small caliber rifle. The two were in a vehicle which struck a pole on Valdese Ave. The Morganton Department of Public Safety made the arrest. Bennett is due in court today.
