A man in Burke County is facing assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury charges. Keith Wayne Sumlin 55, allegedly shot a male victim with a shotgun. The victim was taken by helicopter to a medical center. The incident took place on July 4th on Cedar St in Connelly Springs. He was jailed under a $150,000 secured bond. A court date is set for July 26th.
