A Spruce Pine driver was killed after a collision with a Marion police vehicle yesterday morning. The News Herald reports the police vehicle was traveling on 221 when it collided with a vehicle driven by David Ollis who was turning from 221 South onto Pitts Station Road. Ollis was pronounced dead on the scene and the accident is still under investigation.
