A plane that departed Statesville Regional Airport on Monday morning crashed in Rowan County, killing the lone person on board. Hickory Daily Record reports the Statesville Police Department had released a report concerning the missing plane after it did not arrive on schedule at Twin Lakes Airport. The plane crashed off Cool Springs Road.
