A Dudley Shoals man pleaded guilty yesterday to charges in a string of break-ins and thefts throughout Caldwell County. The News-Topic reports Austin Lane Ervin broke or helped break into eight houses, at least one business and two cars between July 2017 and March 2019. Ervin was sentenced to 10 to 21 months in prison, five years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $13,000 in restitution to his victims.
