The City of Morganton has received plans for a LongHorn Steakhouse to be built where the former Abele’s Family Restaurant building currently sits. Plans for the restaurant have not been approved yet, and The News Herald reports the city is in communication with the designers regarding compliance with the zoning ordinance. Plans for the site also include a 100 room hotel and a Sonic Drive-In.
