A Vale man has been sentenced to at least ten years in prison after being convicted of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon. Tykevious Owan Thomas pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this week in Catawba County Court. The charges stem from incidents in Hickory that occurred in 2017 and 2018.
