A local newspaper carrier was seriously injured Monday morning when a large tree came crashing down on top of his SUV in Burke County. It happened on Milton Road just as John Suttles was beginning his route. It’s not clear what brought caused the tree to fall. Suttles was airlifted to a hospital in Johnson City, TN with serious head injuries.
