A Valdese man has been charged with breaking into a local church. 25-year-old Nicholas Lee Pearson was arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers and charged with breaking and entering a place of worship and larceny after breaking and entering. A tip led police to Pearson. on August 25th, a break in was reported at Crosslink Church of Rutherford College. Police found a window broken out. Taken in the break in were two televisions, offering deposit bags as well as several other items.
