One person is in critical condition after being shot in the chest on Wednesday. It happened in Hickory on 28th St. NE off of Kool Park Road. The 39-year-old victim was transported to Catawba Valley Medical Center for treatment. Another 18-year-old victim was treated and released for unspecified injuries. The Catawba County Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. No arrests have been made at this time.
