The cause of a fire is under investigation in Caldwell County. Gamewell Fire Department responded to 2172 Powell Brickyard Road Tuesday morning. Smoke from an outbuilding could be seen for miles. The outbuilding was completely destroyed. A vacant home was nearby but not impacted. The Caldwell County Fire Marshal is investigating.
