A possession of a weapon of mass destruction charge was brought against a Burke County man.Β Matthew Thomas Wellborn 28, was arrested by officers in Burke, and faces other misdemeanor charges.Β He was placed in jail in Morganton under a $17,000 secured bond.Β A District Court appearance will be January 21st.
A court date is set for today for Tausha Lenia Nichols 38, of Hudson.Β She faces felony breaking and entering, and was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under an $8,000 secured bond, after her arrest by authorities in Catawba County.
