The Burke County School Board has a new member. At the Monday meeting, Jane Sohovich was chosen to fill the vacant seat left open by departing Edna Weller. She will serve until the November election. The vote was 4-2 in favor of Sohovich over Aaron Johnson on the fourth ballot.
