A wreck occurred on Hwy 70 in Glen Alpine around 530 pm Monday. A man was traveling westbound and ran off the road and landed under the bridge near Industrial Drive. The driver was taken to the hospital. The Morganton Department of Public Safety, Glen Alpine and Brindletown fire departments responded along with the Burke County EMS and Rescue Squad. The man’s name was not released.
