A kidnapping charge was filed in Morganton. Johnithyn Thomas Bristol 27, faces felony kidnapping and assault by strangulation among other charges involving domestic violence. A victim was responded to by EMS. The Morganton Department of Public Safety placed Bristol in jail under no bond for the domestic violence and $100,000 bond on other counts. A court date was set for today.
