Resurfacing is taking place this week in Burke County. Portions of Hwy 70 in Drexel and Valdese, Messer Rd in Valdese and the entrance to Freedom Park from Independence Blvd in Morganton. The park will be closed for one day when speed bumps are installed in the lot. Weather permitting that will occur this week.
