The unemployment rate for the Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton metro area fell from 4.4% to 4.2% for the month of April. Catawba County’s rate fell from 4.5% to 4.3%, Caldwell from 4.7% to 4.5% and Burke County went from 4.4% to 4% even for April.
