A kidnapping charge was brought against a Hickory man. Alexander Day-Quan Carpenter 26, was arrested by Hickory Police. He faces felony first degree kidnapping and assault on a female among other charges. He was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $37,500 bond. District court dates are set for July 6th, July 12th and July 19th.
