Loss of an Officer

A Burke County Sheriff’s Officer has died.  Lt William “Mac” McMurtray III was 48.  He had battled Covid 19 for 5 weeks.  He is survived by his wife and 3 daughters.  McMurtray was with the Burke County Sheriffs Department since 2008.
