A Hickory man died in a fatal wreck Wednesday night. 55 year old James Nelson Poovey Jr drove left of center striking another vehicle on NC 127 according to the NC Hwy Patrol. The other driver, 19 year old Hannah Ollis had non life threatening injuries. The Mountain View Fire Department assisted at the scene.
