An area congressman will seek reelection in a new district. Congressman Patrick McHenry of the 10th District will seek a seat in the new 12th District. The new area includes Catawba, Lincoln, Forsyth, Yadkin and half of Iredell county. Most of the district was in the previous 10th District.
