The Veterans Winter Stand Down is Wednesday November 10th from 9am – 1pm at the JE Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir, doors open at 8am. The Stand Down provides one stop access to a range of programs and services with a particular focus on at-risk and homeless veteran intervention and prevention. There will be over 20 service providers on hand for essential services such as health care screening, immunizations, vision care, benefits consultation, mental health and substance abuse counsel, spiritual guidance, employment help, housing assistance and more.
There will also be military surplus items available to veterans along with free hair cuts. Breakfast and lunch will be served. The Stand Down is free and open to all Veterans and their families.
Health and safety protocols will be followed at the JE Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance. Face coverings will be required, and are available at the door.
