The District Attorney’s Office confirmed no charges will be filed in a death at the jail in Burke County. 61 year old John Howard Lambert was pronounced dead after a routine check of his cell on December 26th. CPR was administered and EMS was called to the scene. After an investigation by the SBI, it was determined Lambert died of natural causes.
