A Lenoir man was arrested after an attempted robbery using a lighter and can of spray de-icer. 29 year old Logan Ryan Jones caused a small fire after a cashier refused his demand for money at Ross and Company on Harper Ave. Wednesday afternoon. He fled and was later arrested at his home. He faces felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, among other charges. Bond was set at $250,000 secured.
Drug Charges
Heroin charges were brought against a Lenoir man. 38 year old Maurice Lavone Chambers faces felony trafficking opium or heroin, possession of cocaine and other charges. He was released on a $50,000 secured bond. A court date was set for February 24th.
