Federal charges were brought against a Catawba county man. 35 year old Spencir Denard Rickerson is facing Covid 19 Relief Fraud. He obtain a PPP Loan with a fraudulent application of a non existent company. He received $74,200 in funds. Rickerson was placed in federal custody and could get 20 years in prison and pay a $250,000 fine. He also faces armed robbery charges for robbing a BB and T in Newton.
